         I lost my smell after I had the flu and used afrin. i woke up feeling like my sinus' were on fire. within minutes the pain went away and it took my smell with it. that was at xmas time this last year. my doc could find nothing wrong.

I read somewhere about using saline solution heavily. i used it every 5 or ten mintues. and it seemed to work. after a month i have about 90 percent of my smell back. some things still smell distorted and i wouldn't know what they were unless someone told me. but finally i can taste!

the sense comes back real slow. and some days are better than others.

I pray yours returns as well. don't give up hope. and saline can't hurt you might wanna try it.
