I am happy to be able to help. I joined this group with the hope
that I can help others with dyslexia. I am willing to be open and
share my personal experience in the hope that I can help others get
free from dyslexia, migraines and other handicaps and help them find
ways to live free of the pain, discouragement and frustration of
dyslexia, migraines, etc. I would be happy to correspond with any of
you privately if you prefer that to using the group message board. I
will give you my personal email address if you prefer to correspond
privately.
I am in a very unique position because I have experienced for myself
what life is like with and without dyslexia. I lived a normal life
until I was injured 7 years ago and in spite of the fact that I have
taught educationally handicapped children, I didn't have much of a
clue what it was really like to have this and other "invisible"
handicaps until after a traumatic head injury changed my whole life.
The doctors all said the damage was permanent and that nothing could
be done to help me. I lived with this for 4 unbearable years. Then
I finally got help at the Irlen Institute. I hope that by sharing my
miracle, I can help others.
I am willing to answer questions or help any way I can.
