Re: [Dyslexia Club] So, like how 'bad' do you have to be to be tested?

I would get tested if I were you. Life is much easier when you know what the
hell is wrong with you.
it sounds as if you may have dyslexia though, (note: I am not a medical
professional).
i understand your problem with messing up when speaking...I do that all the
time, just saying the wrong thing...
Good luck,

I don't know whether the mistakes
I make are 'bad' enough to count as it.
I mean, I don't exactly switch round letters...more like start
writing a letter in the middle of a word...like the second letter or
sometihng...and then have to go back and fill in the letters before
it...like in my psychology class I always go to write 'psychology'
with an 's' but I never do it when I'm typing or anything.
And I spell things dumb, like in my big english test I wrote 'store'
insted of story throughout my essay :(
I write 'they' insted of 'the' and just while tpying this I
wrote 'there' insted of 'the' ARGH! And 'were' insted of 'where' and
stuff.
I've not had too much trouble with reading, I'd say I was only
slightly behind other ppl and I sound worse reading aloud b/c I
stutter a bit.
I know I'm pretty smart b/c my IQ is tested as in the 150s so that's
why these dumb mistakes piss me off.
I always had bad spelling pointed out at school b/c I was top of the
class. and on my first day of college my englisg lecturer told me a
had 'a bit of a spelling problem'
Maybe I'm just not a speller *shurgs*
It's just I did heaps better in school than most ppl but they can
read and spell better than me.
Oh and I suck a bit at math b/c equations are to big to read...if
you know what I mean...which you prolly don't but...oh well...
I also mix up words A LOT when speaking...ppl say I'm Bush's secret
love child or something :P I'll blatantly say something completely
different to what ever I'm thinking I'm reading or switch things
round like I called tenis playwer Tim Henman ...'Hen timan' today :(
I just don't like it b/c whenever I speak ppl laugh and think I'm
stupid...
I have trouble keeping my place on a line while reading, especially
on computer where you have to scroll down the page.
Aslo, maybe it's just a stereotype or something but I'm arty and a
leftie and I heard those are kinda linked but not necessarily.
I just wanted to know what you thought anyways, thankies, wez :)

PS I wana get tested at college but I don't wanna ask but it's one
of those things that ppl say is over diagnosed and my parents wont
believe me even if I DO get tested and say it's a made up thing
anywaysm...even tho they wanted my brother to be tested for it.
