Re: [Dyslexia Club] Research project

I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!!!!
Hi everyone.

I may sound like a desperate mom but the fact is...I am. My son was diagnosed a
couple of weeks ago with dislexia and we are meeting with his teacher and
principal tomorrow to help them understand how to further educate him. I need
advice on how each of you learned math and advanced reading. He is in 2nd grade
at a private school and they use Bob Jones. Please , please if anyone has any
suggestions on how to help me converse with the teachers please write back to
me. He is getting frustrated and we do the "exercises" daily prior to his home
work (figure 8; cross midline, etc.) they aren't working fast and any
suggestions from you guys would be appreciated.

I am new to this group and am doing a master's thesis on dyslexia. I also am
dyslexic, which is the main reason for doing my thesis on this topic. I was
wondering if anyone has any testing materials or information on how to get a
free sample test for dyslexia so that I could include it in my research. Also,
are there any good sites that I could visit in order to get good information
regarding dyslexia and early identification, or just any information that anyone
might
have. Thank you so much.
