Yes, I'm thinking this myself. As a University Lecturer, I ought to be able to
do it. But there are many other parents whose talents lie elsewhere and who
might not be able to do it. Personally, I'd have to give up work and as a
single parent that would fail to bring home the bacon. Once again it is the
most disadvantaged who bear the brunt.
