Hi Richard. I would just like to say that developing self-advocacy skills
will be a big help to you. Let others know what you need in order to succeed
or complete a task. For example, if you have trouble taking notes, ask that
you be allowed to tape record meetings, or classes...whatever you may be
involved in that requires you to take notes. If someone is giving you
directions, ask that they speak slower to give you a chance to write. That
sort of thing. I know it sounds simple, but it can make a big difference.I
remember too many times of just nodding my head without letting the person
know I wasn't getting it or that they were going to fast for me.
