Christina,
I am 56 will be 57 years old this year. I started having problems in 1985. I have gone through 2 biopsies and many tests and have not had a specific diagnosis. I am now having the blood work done and tested by the Jain Foundation. My doctor feels that I have LGMD but won't know for sure until the results. I just want you to know that life is still wonderful for me after all these years. Yes, I went through the depression and anger and "why me". But God has been faithful and I have continued to live a wonderful life. I've had to make lots of adjustments but I am still here enjoying life. I have raised my children and enjoyed my grandchildren (and still do). I guess what I'm trying to say is just hang in there. You will have days when you think you can't go on. Count your blessings and keep going! Don't stop. Stay involved. We certainly don't understand why these things happen but we can learn from them.
Have a wonderful day,
Sharon
