Having problems with message search?
Well.. I can only tell you about my daughter... has Duanes' don't know which type.. we found out she had it when she was 5 yo... but told there was nothing to do to fix it... she has had visual therapy etc... but no surgery.
WELL, she is married and has two beautiful kids... I know that this is only two kids.. but...
I'm sure that my feelings about Duane's is tempered by my family history... Dad with polio, me both with a club foot... a brother who died in infancy... but (and this is not said to minimize your fears) to me... Duane's has been a concern but not a worry. You sound like a caring and concerned person... ANY baby would be lucky to have you as a parent... I say this as a parent... but my daughter with Duane's is a beautiful woman.. the Duane's is interesting.. but not important in our lives... Before we had the diagnosis.. we laughingly commented that she had blue eyes.... (which she does)... but for her... "one eye blew east and one eye blew west"...
If you'd like to talk to her.. let me know.. I'll be glad to give you her email... since she is the one with the problem... she might be the best one to talk to.. she's 22 yo... so she might be close to your age...
