I have bilateral duanes and I am also very short sighted, i.e. -6.25 R / -7.25
L. I have just been refused LASIK treatment due to my double vision problems
caused by my duanes, which I have always had and have learned to ignore most of
the time. I was wondering if anybody has any experiences with vision correction
surgery and has it affected there duanes as I am gutted at the moment. Before I
even considered this surgery I went to my local eye hospital and they said that
there is no reason why I can't have vision correction surgery, so now I am
confused and bitterly disappointed. Should I ditch the idea and go back to
contacts and glasses ? What do you good people think, any advice would be
greatly appreciated.
