U.S. NAVY 5-YEAR WARFARE TESTING PLANS TO DECIMATE  MORE THAN 11.7 MILLION

MARINE MAMMALS IN THE PACIFIC & ATLANTIC OCEANS

& THE GULF OF MEXICO:    THIS INCLUDES MORE THAN 32 SEPARATE SPECIES OF MARINE
MAMMALS

(FISH, BIRDS, AND OTHER
SPECIES WILL BE IMPACTED ALONG WITH HUMAN HEALTH

    AND OUR AIR AND WATER SUPPLIES)

A partial listing of the methods and toxics to be used by the U.S. Navy:

MID & HIGH RANGE FREQUENCY SONAR

According to the Navy Environmental Impact Statement:  (www.nwtrangecomplex
eis.com)

    "...Explosives are contained in live bombs, missiles, torpedoes, and
sonobuoys, and are used in explosives
    training. Constituents of concern in explosives include nitroaromatics
(e.g., TNT) and cyclonitramines,
    including RDX (Royal Demolition Explosive, cyclotrimethylene trinitramine)
and HMX (High
Melting
    Explosive, cyclotetramethylene tetranitramine) that are mixed with plastics
or other polymer binders
    (Janes 2005, 2006). PETN (pentaerythritol tetranitrate) is used in blasting
caps, detonation cord, and
    similar initiators of explosions.. .

In the application submitted to National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA), the
Navy requests authorization
to harm or kill  approximately marine mammals (they don't list other species
that will be negatively impacted
by their 5 year warfare testing programs),  while conducting training events and
RDT&E utilizing mid-
and high frequency active
sonar sources and explosive detonations. These sonar and explosive sources will
be utilized during Antisubmarine
Warfare (ASW) Tracking Exercises, Mine Avoidance Training, Extended Echo Ranging
and Improved
Extended Echo Ranging (EER/IEER) events, Missile Exercises, Gunnery Exercises,
Bombing Exercises, Sinking Exercises, and Mine Warfare Training...and much more.


USE OF TOXIC CHEMICALS LIKE DEPLETED URANIUM
    WHITE & RED PHOSPHORUS - & OTHER AIRBORNE TOXIC OBSCURANTS LIKE FOG OIL
   
    MERCURY - LEAD - CADMIUM - CHROMIUM

    MANY HEAVY METALS & OTHER TOXIC CHEMICALS LIKE URANIUM

    Toxic components of fuel oils include aromatic hydrocarbons such as benzene,
toluene, xylene, and
    polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
such as naphthalene, acenaphthene, and fluoranthene.  The
    list in the Navy Environmental Impact Statement and also includes: propane,
ammonia, carbon dioxide,
    methane,  and hydrogen cyanide.
