THE SILVER STAR FAMILIES OF
The Silver Star Families of America has only one mission: To remember, honor and assist the wounded and ill of our Armed Forces from ALL wars. Being a Banner organization we do this primarily by issuing the coveted Silver Star Service Banner and a Certificate to all who meet our guidelines. To read the qualifications and to apply for a Silver Star Banner please go to: http://www.silverstarfamilies.org/RequestSSBanner.html
As our organization has grown we have developed new programs for our wounded and ill and you may read about them by going to our main web site at: http://www.silverstarfamilies.org/
We also sponsor Silver Star Banner Day: A day set aside every May 1st to remember and honor our wounded and ill. This year we are asking all 50 states and 5000 cities to issuing proclamations and hold ceremonies. You can learn more by going here: http://www.silverstarfamilies.org/SilverStarBannerDay2009.html
The SSFOA stands ready to assist our brothers and sisters in the DAV in anyway we can and we honor your service and sacrifice for our Nation and our freedom.
