To all for years, since right after the war 90-91, I have searched out data in obits of gulf war veterans and forwarded the notifications to all it is amazing to me that people dont see the importance of this labor of love.

 

I wanted to provide people with knowledge that our group were dying at an extreme young age.  I wanted to provide a means of notification for all in the most timely way I could that your past war buddies had died and you might want to reach out to the family.

 

This past year I have been forwarding all the old data I had collected that we had tried to keep track of first with DSTORMMOM's Vetcenter website.http://home.att.net/~vetcenter/indxmain.htm

 

  We now have a website that has been really laboring to get all the data from obits into one site that is www.Honorthenames.com

 

They are taking all my old data and new ones as I find them plus doing genealogy searches and other methods to get the data and get it all entered alphabetically.

 

I encourage all of you if you have data on your buddies that have died ie GULF WAR VETS

-Operation Desert Storm to email the information(obits) to this site or you can email me and I will forward them on also!

 

Lots of people tell me that this triggers PTSD................but I wonder isnt it important to remember and to share in their memory and get this data compiled?

 

 

I will continue to send the ones I find that are current in to the yahoo groups we have as email and it will be labelled as Taps, if you are not interested you can just hit delete when you get those current notifications!
