You should also consider it as a birth defect for children of those overly exposed to 2-butoxyethanol.  We have 2 preschool children with very extreme vision problems;  I know one has a dad who worked on the Exxon Valdez oil spill ... not directly with the chemical/s though; and the other I don't know about her dad.
