Well this is my first post here. I would like to say hi to you. My
name is Cathy, I am 41, married for 23 yrs with three small children
and I will be having VSG in Feb. I am very excited and happy that this
will happen. I mostly post on the other board (obesity helps) but
wanted to support this board and people that are going to be looking
at it. I am super MO and five yrs ago thought seriously of going with
an RNY. My insurance would not pay for any kind of WLS. So that
stopped me dead in my tracks. I am very happy it did..cause I was not
crazy about all the mal-absorbtion issues. So I stopped thinking about
it until last year and took a look at Obesityhelp.com again..and I
came to find out about VSG!!! wow this one is for me! That is what I
thought when I first read about it. So I read, read, read and read
some more. It brought me to Dr Joya's website and now I have decided
to self-pay and so I am going to make a life changing event happen
now. I feel very comfortable with this choice as opposed to many of
