Deanna,

It sounds to me like you just over did it yesterday while exerting yourself.  I am down 80+ pounds and have been able to feel my port from day one.  It is more apparent when I bend forward all the way or when I’m wearing pants and the waistband rests close to the port etc.  You may have even pulled or strained the muscle that the port is attached to, so that would certainly take several days to feel better.  Advice I’ve read on helping it along would be to alternate cold and warm compresses on that site a couple times a day.  I don’t think you’ve done damage, but if you aren’t feeling any less pain in a day or so I would let the doc know.  Take care!

Ok, I have another one to put out there. People talk about not feeling
thier port until they lose a lot of their weight. I have felt mine
pretty good sonce a month out from surgery. My question is this....
friday and saturday I was feeling doscomfort for some reason, then
sunday I was exerting a little bit and felt a sharp pain, and since
then the pain is still there. At best it feels like a baseball on my
ribs. When I bend over I end up having to hold my stomach, and it
reminds me of after surgery. It is better today than it was yesterday
thankfully.

It is not major...but it is worrisome..

Sorry for your discomfort! I have had sharp pain at my port from time to time and I can feel my port for a couple of months now! Maybe your port has flipped? Let me know the outcome!

Thank you for your input! I know you are right regarding the stress level needing to decrease. I don't want to get another fill due to the fact that there are days I have alot of trouble. I guess I need to find a release for my stress and get past all of this stuff!

Thanks for your help!

I have a question! Since my last fill August 8th it seems as if I just have trouble at times getting even liquids to go down. I have lost weight which I am very pleased with, but it is really starting to worry me. I can't even get eggs to go down without a fight! Somedays are good and some are bad. I have noticed if I am under stress I will have a different band each time, it will do weird things? Is something wrong??? Do I need to have this checked? Do I need to come see Dr. Fox?? My weight loss the past 2 weeks has halted and I am scared to death to get another fill to start my weight loss going again. What do I need to do?

Congrats!! These are the kind of NSV's we all love to see and hear.
You will be out of those new jeans in no time. I know how that
feeling is to hear someone tell you, you are BEAUTIFUL especially
when its NOT family. I had a guy tell me that I looked nice outside
of Starbucks the other day and I literally looked behind me and he
said, "Yes, you!" All I could say was "Thanks" I smiled and went
on, I didn't know what to do. I haven't had that happen in so long
I forgot what it felt like.

Keep up the great work! I am so proud of you.

physical measure of a smaller pair of jeans. Keep up the great work.

Sounds like you are really busy! My daughter was in band and ag so we were always on the go. She graduated last May and I was in the stands doing the "happy dance"! hehehehe!!!! Would love to meet you next time you come home! Promise you we probably know some of the same people.

Actually, it is closer for me to drive to Longview Wal-Mart on Reel Road than drive to Gilmer. We really love living in Gladewater!

I am in class on Tuesday nights and take another class over the Internet. Please give me a call, would love to chat with ya! Take care and MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT FOR THE NEXT FILL!!!! It will make all the difference in the world!

longer and we can go home again. At least you can go to Gilmer for a
Wal-Mart, that is not TOO terribly far.

Keeping busy is good for not sitting around eating. I am doing good
on that aspect I guess, I no longer need to snack. Just need proper
restriction I guess. When are you in class? I will give you a call

If you are not loosing any weight you need to get another fill. I have had 3 fills and the 3rd one has got me rolling. If your last fill hurt maybe you just had someone that wasn't quiet sure what they were doing? Go back!!! It's worth a little discomfort to get things rolling again!

I had the second fill at 2 weeks and a day after the first one, and

not. Now I am leery of going back again.

I am in Dallas now, I grew up in and graduated from Gladewater. My
parents are still there so we try to get there when we can. With
football season we can not go anywhere because my daughter has band
practice every saturday through the end of October. So a little
longer and we can go home again. At least you can go to Gilmer for a
Wal-Mart, that is not TOO terribly far.

Keeping busy is good for not sitting around eating. I am doing good
on that aspect I guess, I no longer need to snack. Just need proper
restriction I guess. When are you in class? I will give you a call
one afternoon to chat.
