Momoftca,
First, congrats on the 65 lbs. down, that
is awesome! I have lost very slowly myself. I had my surgery 6/30/05
and am down 91 lbs. from my highest but only 83 from what I weighed when I
started the pre-op diet. I’m thrilled though because I sure look
like a different person and feel great as I’m sure you do. You say
you eat lots of salads, are you sure you’re getting in your 65 grams of
protein every day? How about your water? Those two things can
really make a difference in weight loss. I also work out 5-6 days a week
for an hour per session. Do you change up your cardio often? Our
bodies quickly become adjusted to a certain level of exertion so it’s
important to mix things up. I use the treadmill, recumbent bike,
elliptical, arc trainer and stairmaster and I do different programs each time
to trick my body into letting go of some fat. I also wear a heart rate
monitor to accurately know how many calories I’m burning during my
workout. If you’re doing all these things then you may just need a
fill. Also, when is the last time you had an appt. with Dr. Fox? I’m
not the best at going in myself, but I was struggling early this year and he
referred me to the Aftercare program at AIGB which is next door to SCOR.
I really like my Physician’s Asst. and they are very supportive
there. Well, that’s about all I can suggest. I hope something
here helps, but if all else fails get back in to see the doc because he really
cares about our success. I wish you the best!
Jen

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting on this
message board. Dr.
Fox was my surgeon and am very pleased with my whole experience so far
with my band. I am needing ALOT of help though. I have had my band

weight loss to this point however, I have stopped losing weight I work
out at least 5 days a week 1 hr or longer. I do alot of cardio and I
eat alot of salads. I have had no weight loss since 1/07. Could
someone please advise me as to why I have stopped losing weight. Is
this common?
