To provide support, and exchange information, for people with Down syndrome who are having to deal with cataracts, and for their families, friends, carers, and health care providers. Group founded by the father of a child with Down syndrome and bilateral congenital cataracts. Would also welcome members with a family member or friend with Down syndrome and an acquired cataract. Also quite open to folks dealing with other eye problems, such as glaucoma, strabismus, nystagmus, amblyopia, and keratoconus. There is a higher incidence of both congenital and acquired cataracts in people with Down syndrome.
