Brushing teeth - resolution!!!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #35719 of 35987 |
Reece is finally putting the toothbrush in his mouth!!!!  We turned on the toothbrush and put the end of it on the outside of his cheecks (each side) and then gently on his lips.  We did it a few times and then turned the toothbrush around and put it in his mouth.  Took it out and then let him hold it.  Did the whole process a few times and then eventually he put it in his mouth.  Takes lots of patience but we're getting there.  We found that it's not that he doesn't want to brush his teeth but rather a sensory issue.

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

 Judy
