Unfortunately many nurses are not considerate.

pissed me off as soon as her shift started. My doctor called and
gave me an order for singulair prior to her shift; it was about 1pm
when I took it. Anyway, she was reading the nurses notes, and
noticed that I didn't take the singulair with my other scheduled
morning meds. Then, she repeatedly asked me "why are you taking the
singulair at one?" Twice I told her "no reason," and I became
annoyed when she questioned me a third time. "I'll take my meds any
time I want to," I snapped. Finally, she got the point that she had
caused me to lose my patience, and she stopped grilling me...Then a
few moments later, she asked me if we could get some charts on range
of motion to show the other nurses how to do range of motion on me.
I told her that I would rather someone show them rather than some
chart showing them. So obiviously wanted to get her way, she raised
her voice shouting "just listen to me!" I became irate, and yelled
back to her saying "do not raise your voice toward me!" Well then
she asked me if I was pissed off at her for something. I told her
that the eposode with my medicine angered me. Then, she proceeded to
run her mouth saying, "If you're unhappy with my services, you can
get another nurse!" "I don't want another nurse, but I'm telling
you that this is my home and don't forget your place," I responded.
Eventually, things calmed down and everything was back to
normal...Where does she get off treating me like a child?
