Glad you
are joining us, Toni. I’m pretty
impressed that you drew the throat chakra card because it speaks of telling our
own truths, which is what I think is going to be an important factor in this
group.
Since
Thanksgiving, I’ve been eating like crazy, and I was thinking about it last
night, and wondering what was not being nourished. Then I realized how grateful I am to be a part of this group of
wonderful, supportive people; and how special I believe its members are. I know many of you from other lists and
experiences, and I feel so privileged and trusting to be with you. Now I really have something to be thankful
for—my Thanksgiving begins today.

Hi
folks,
Weighing
in here and needing to drop 20 or 30 lbs. I have been to them all from Jenny
Craig to Weight Watchers...been there done that. They work for me to get it off
...then something in my character doesn't like me looking too good.
Anyway,
when Sandra told me about this group that has the intention of using Tarot
cards in weight loss I was intrigued. Of course there is more to losing weight
than meets the eye. The psyche is doing a number too and I can see where one
could use weight loss to heal the inner child or whatever.
Currently,
I am exploring The Chakra Deck, which is not a Tarot deck
but I want to use it along with the official Tarot deck of this group. I
thought about this group and randomly drew a card. Low and behold it turned out
to be the Throat Chakra card, which as you probably know is associated
with, among other things, the throat, teeth, gums, thyroid gland and
addictions. Its color is turquoise. The essential oils are
chamomile, orange, and rosemary. Food: fruits and berries. (hummm) The gem
stones are aquamarine, blue opal and carnelian (whatever that is). I have a
beautiful aquamarine ring that I can wear on my right hand, which the one
I eat with. I may have to put it on my little finger for a while. It can remind
me of what I am doing...and whatever else it is that gemstones do. (humor).
I am
excited and interested....Maybe if we learn a lot of good information we can
put the gems into a column and publish it online for others. Sandra do you want
to author a column (represent the rest of us) for the Altjn? Is this
something that the group wants to do? Best, Toni
