Everybody:
When I sent my e-mail, I didn't even notice the cookie
recipe at the bottom of my screen. I just went to her
page. It is basically broken down into subjects, and
consists of collections of links to websites that
relate to each subjuct. Of the 5 groups that
interested me, I looked up a few links. They were
legitimate sites.
For example, under "Diabetic Menu"
http://home.flash.net/~luker/diabetes_menu.html
there are about 20 sub-categories, and each one has
about 20 or more links. They look like she just added
links as they came across them. Some are to to
commercial outfits to order medical supplies such as
lancets, meters, and strips. There is no need for such
services in Canada, where we have universal health
care, and you just present your health card and or
insurance plan card at the pharmacy of your choice. In
the USA, there is a need for these companies, and some
people use them. The rest are articles from hospitals,
diabetes groups, associations, etc. She actually has
no advertising on any of her pages.
The vast majority of her categories look like some of
my personal bookmarks pages. I don't see where it is
advertising. Looking at the recipe, I wouldn't use it
either, but there are usable recipes at her page:

It is like anything else on the internet. You have to
separate the wheat from the chaff. At least she isn't
throwing billboards up all throughout the wheat field.
