Amish/Mennonite Recipes


The Amish people are direct descendants of the Anabaptists of
sixteenth century Europe, germany, etc. They come here for a better
life, they were forced from their own contries due to their own
religon. Looking for peace and where they could practice their faith,
they came to america. Amish are also a branch of the swiss Mennoite.
It was our ancestors that came to america seeking a better life for
their children.

My family is mennonite, with roots in the amish as well. I grew up
eating amish food and decided to share so of my family recipes for
everyone to expiernce the delight foods of the dutch.
