I was just diagonosed with type 2 diabetes last week and had to fill a script for 1000 mg (glucuphage/)metaformin 2x/day locally to get started.   My KMart pharmacy filled it for just under $70 which seems very reasonable since I can be assured that I am getting the  generic made by Merck that has the same quality control procedures as their name brand.  Just thought I should point out there are some risks when ordering from online pharmacies that don't even require a prescription.  It pays to call around sometimes.  (BTW, I'm a new member but isn't this a recipe list?)

Hello,

There is one piece of information, which will save quite a penny. I am diabetic since the age of 32. Iwas prescribed to take Glucophage (Metformin) for my problem. I have to take this medicine twice a day and it was turning out expensive. Finally I ordered drugs from www.genericway.com. The quality is superb, so is the service and prices are less than half the usual, the prices range from $18 for 30 tablets of 500mg (Metformin) to $154 for 180 tablets of 850mg.They have a list of medicines available for diabetes, Acidity and ANti Pain too, WeightLoss. I have been benefited by www.genericway.com. So will you!
