Air purifiers don't always work for out-gassing. I bought two big ones on
the advice of one of my doctors for the out-gassing in my new modular home.
Then someone told me it doesn't take care of removing the gasses, only such
things as dust & other allergens. Tho the store (Sears) where I bought them
said they do take care of out-gassing.
There's one purifier that's advertized as eliminating the gasses too. I have
an ad for it here someplace but can't afford to buy one or two now. It cost
me $200. the second year just for new filters for the first ones I bought.
And now they don't stock them in the stores anymore. Have to order them.
What a racket!! I'm still waking up with burning throat, nose & lungs. So
the out-gassing is ongoing no doubt.
Feel like I'm being gassed to death little by little here. The only thing
that helps is to purge the air throughout the house frequently. That & time.
It's supposed to dissipate in 8 years tho the manufacturer said 2 years
which isn't true because it's still here tho not as bad, thankfully. Or
maybe it's just I can't smell it anymore.
