Re: [detox] Help needed

Dear Skyking,

She should sun bathe covering her skin with at least two layers of dense fabric
(dense enough that she cannot see through it) but spreading out all of her hair
in full sun, turning as necessary to expose all hair to the sun. She should
rearrange her hair several times and stay in the sun for at least a couple of
hours.

Then she can get Arm and Hammer detergent with the GREEN label. She should wash
and rinse several times using a small amount of it in the palm of her hand,
wetting it and then use it on already wet hair and scrubbing, scrubbing. Then
rinse well. And then rinse again and again.

Then in the bathtub she should fill the tub with water and soak her hair and
entire scalp with the water spiked with hydrogen peroxide, about a pint of 35%
or equivalent in one regular tub full of water. (Most hydrogen peroxide from
the drug store is 3%.) It will take about an hour or longer to use up the
hydrogen peroxide. She can redo these steps until the odor is gone.

She could also powder up her hair with regular Arm and Hammer BAKING SODA and
put on a shower cap to keep it from scattering about. In a few hours time the
smell should be lessened quite a bit. The baking soda may need to be replaced a
few times. Then it is washed out.

All these steps are useful. She can redo them until the odor is gone. Shaving
her head may not remove the odor as it is also probably into her skin (which the
hydrogen peroxide bath will help to remove).

Let us know how it works out.

This is a good lesson. Commercial shampoo, liquid and bar soap products are
just too dangerous to use.

Cheriel

Stuart, Maybe you can't, but I can. I tried your Sun Gold www.sungoldsoap.com safflower oil bar soap. It's very mild and has virtually no scent. Good stuff....

Kyle: That's good that you are able to tolerate that shampoo. Unfortunately, I am stuck with using only natural soap-based products. I think Giovanni, as well...
