Results from work on the common organochlorine contaminant hexachlorobenzene
raise questions about its possible involvement in diseases of the male
reproductive tract, including prostate cancer. These studies, conducted in cell
cultures and in mice, show that low levels of HCB enhance prostate
responsiveness to androgens, while high levels suppress it.

Research in Sweden reveals a link between organochlorine levels in a mother's
blood and the risk that her son will develop testicular cancer, decades after
birth. The son's own contamination levels, measured at the time of cancer
diagnosis, provide few insights into risk. These data are consistent with the
proposal that testicular cancer in adulthood results from errors in fetal
testicular development caused by hormone disruption.

A study of men living in the Boston area suggests that adult exposure to
phthalates can damage the DNA of human sperm. The damage was detected at
phthalate exposure levels common within the American public. It is unknown
whether the amount of DNA damage would lead to infertility or genetic problems
in offspring.

Two studies provide new insights into the levels of contaminants experienced by
the American public. The results of the two studies combined contained messages
of hope and of concern. The good news is that when protective measures are put
in place, for example, with lead and DDT, over time contamination levels fall.
It is also good news that compound-by-compound, most Americans have relatively
low levels. The bad news is that we all contain many contaminants, most of which
are poorly understood even one-by-one, and none of which are known to be safe in
the mixtures in which they always occur.

Evaluation of carcinogenic potential of two nitro-musk derivatives, musk xylene

"The experimental data reported here lead to the conclusion that musk xylene, as
well as musk tibetene, have carcinogenic activity. In contrast to the negative
results for mutagenicity and genotoxicity, a non-genotoxic mechanism for the
carcinogenicity of musk xylene and musk tibetene must be considered."

This is an inexpensive way to get calcium EDTA under the tongue for both lead
and mercury heavy metal detox. It can be taken away from minerals if it concerns
you.  There is a debate about whether it could take good minerals out. Another
site to become knowledgeable about it is at www.gordonreasearch.com to read
material from the grandfather of chelation therapy.  I take calcium EDTA with,
lets see, first swallowing the following a half hour ahead to provide
a myers' coctail affect not unlike what it feels like while having IV.
chelation:. NAC, a B capsule, a bit of C powder (I go to
www.swansonvitamins.com for some Alacer 5th stage human liver metabolite version
of Vitamin C for cheap.
Pro-Algin from www.longevityplus.com is a binder to go with the EDTA with
instructions I got from Garry Gordon's site.
This is my cheapy way out...plus lots of juiced veggies, If taking MSM to
enhance the effect as well, take even more selenium which the body needs more of
along with a good macro and trace mineral routine. Molybdenum and selenium are
required with the MSM because it is an incomplete sulfur.
Also, take magnesium according to the World RDA, not the US RDA, that means as
much as or twice as much as the calcium. Debbie.
