Re: [detox] Woolite fumes

Having never experienced Woolite liquid I cannot say what will help, but some things that absorb odors are baking soda and charcoal.  Hydrogen peroxide breaks down odors.  You can, of course put a cover over the drain when it is not actually in use, weight it down securely and let these do their work.  You might have an opening to let air in and this should also be taped to prevent odors from leaking.  Most poisoned people have long since given up commercial odorized products and have removed them from their cabinets and homes.

Subject: [detox] Woolite fumes

I am hoping to reach someone who has 'been there, done that' and can
tell me what to do. I have no family or friends here, nowhere to go,
need to find a way to stay in my house (mobile home). I can't stay
outside in my pickup because the pollution gives me same symptoms. I
am so sick and burning. I had to quit my job because of MCS, so I
can't afford to rent a room somewhere and it would take some time to
find one. I am in my 60s, other health problems, and can't 'rough it'.

Yesterday, I grabbed a squeeze bottle with Woolite liquid, thinking it
was the shampoo I use to soak my combs and hair brushes, and put a
quick squirt in a basin, ? a teaspoon or tablespoon, might have been
less. I poured it down the bathroom sink then ran lots of cold water,
then hot water --so many suds, it's concentrated. I put my floor fan
in the bathroom doorway all day, opened a few windows for the day,
always have 4 ceiling fans going. I always have 3 air cleaners running.

I spent the night in my bed. My gums, tongue, lips and throat are
burning worse & mouth feels sudsy. I think there are Woolite fumes,
the usual pollution, plus the smell of fireplace burning) in the
house.

Does anyone know what will clear up the fumes in the drain and house?
I thought I got rid of the liquid Woolite 6-12 months ago when I stunk
up the house-- used it in my wash machine-- but at least I was able to
stay in the house, got symptoms but mild. (The Woolite is going to the
dumpster today.)

I so appreciate having these groups to commicate with!
