Not Very Impressive

Someone posted a petition the other day that would be presented to Congress, the CDC etc. about MCS.
I just checked the signatures and there are only a few from Washington State. 137 in total

Other than the quarter million secured by the WA state legislature in 1994, political action and activism in this state has totally flopped every time. Frankly, we are in worse condition now that we were in 1994.

Since those days I have seen a few fellow MCSers die. One had anti-psychotic meds forced on her in the nursing home (no such thing as MCS - it is a mental condition), another with cancer ended her days in hospitals and nursing homes that "knew" nothing about MCS and therefore would not respect her wishes, another put an end to her life out of desperation.

We are really such a docile group that there is no need for anyone to make changes to advance understanding of MCS. We make absolutely no noise at all and that is the only thing that forces change.

We do however seem to have the ability to make noise when it comes to fighting each other. The lists are full of arguments over terminology, differences of opinion etc. And that is getting us absolutely nowhere! Or rather, it may get us into a nursing home years from now where we can choke down the anti-psychotics, in a disinfected room while we continue to argue and wait for the perfect petition to arrive for our signature.

We must make noise - sign the petitions, send letters, put the powers that be on the spot!
