The Problem with Taking Medication For Anxiety Panic Attack Symptoms   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #114 of 173 |

No matter who you are or what you've experienced in life,
experiencing anxiety panic attack symptoms can be traumatic. This is
especially true when you've never had an attack before.
The symptoms and the trauma panic attacks cause can drive you to
consider any and all forms of anxiety attack panic treatment.
Medication is quick, effective and convenient, but requires very
little participation from you. On the other hand, a natural cure for
panic attack can provide a greater sense of control if and when the
next panic attack comes along.
The two most common medications of choice for dealing with anxiety
panic attack symptoms are benzodiazepines and SSRIs (selective
serotonin reuptake inhibitors). SSRIs do a good job of reducing the
number of panic attacks you may have, but they take time to build up
in your system. You may have to take them for several weeks before
you really start to notice the difference.
If it's quick action you're looking for, then benzodiazepines can
deliver. Of course, there is always a trade-off. Dosing requires that
you take these medications a couple of times a day. Plus, you may
face a range of side effects from benzodiazepines....
