Dementia Rescue is an online message board for those who are seeking support for dealing with various forms of dementia such as Alzheimer's Disease, Vascular Dementia, Pick's Disease and Frontal Temporal Lobe Disease. This is a site that welcomes any and all who are seeking to educate themselves about dementia, whether it be the individual with dementia, or family members.
We have four group members who are authors! Please ask us about our authors, and learn more about dementia and coping skills- both from a caregiver's perspective as well as from a woman who has Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease, and her son.
"Young Hope, Broken Road" was written by the author and her young son. The revised edition will be available through your local Alzheimer Chapter or through the Publisher, Outskirts Press, by May 2007. This author also wrote "I Remember When".
*When your loved one strikes out or changes, remember it isn't them it is the disease.
Deborah Uetz wrote "Into The Mist", about her experience watching her father deteriorate from the effects of AD.
Jacqueline Marcell wrote "Elder Rage".
