I'd pretty much resigned myself to looking like a bizaare mess as my
gray grows out. White skunk stripe and all of that.

Then today, while walking through the mall, I saw a woman with jet
black hair with a three or so inch white stripe at the part in her
hair. But instead of looking like a skunk, or bizaare, it appeared a
purely intentional fashion statement in the same way one sees people
with pink and purple stripes in their hair. She had a sleek, all one
length, below the chin cut parted on the side. Her hair was all
shiny and not a hair out of place. It was stunning.

I didn't have the nerve to approach her and ask if she was growing
out her white hair. It was all so perfect, and the white was snow
white--so I just wasn't sure if it was a natural grow out or if she
purposely dyed it to look that way. Can a person dye their hair
white???

Anyway...has anyone here managed to grow out their hair in a way
that it looked like a piece of art?
