Re: [deciding_to_go_gray] hair treatments and developer

Hi Roe!
How light? Are you happy with the results?
I would love t see a picture----I have a lot of red in my hair....
Is a toner lik a hair dye??

I'm thinking I may have to put toner or something on my hair after I get all the red cut off because I have a feeling from what I can see that the back may be mousy, the top  salt & pepper & the front & sides, white.
I love the white & may be able to live with some salt & pepper, but do not want mousy ( a dark brownish gray with a very little white thru it.)
Hugs,
Sophia in S.Fl.

WARNING --- any treatment that requires a developer WILL change
your natural hair color (the non-gray hair portion) unless you are
almost 100% gray any use of a developer will lighten your hair!! --
permantently!!!

I just did a violet toner last week to cut the red in my hair --I used
a 10% developer and waited 15 minutes before appliying it... still the
result was that my hair was lightened.

.
