Anna,
After you come back from vacation you should have a good feel for the
wisdom of your decision to break up. If you feel fine then it was
right for you. If you are having a hard time then give it more time
off and wait for it to feel right.

I read somewhere recently that when we look for a partner we need to
revisit our requirements every few years. The article says that for
instance education that there are many areas in the country where
higher degrees and even a bachelors are not sought at the same rate
as say the DC area and New England. It says that there are many
intelligent men that do not have degrees but have accomplished a lot
and are very fine life partners.

What is important is how you feel when you are with him, I think that
is what it said. I think it was in the last issue of More magazine.

Wow! you have a teenage son? That is great! Consider what he thinks
of this guy too... and your dear friends the ones who tell it as they
see it.

I met my dh at 35 so I know about vocational heartache and uncertainty
