You may find a site with autism or hearing impair but it's hard to find a support with both autism/hearing impair discuss/support group. Also, there is no autism/hearing impair education in most of school. Most parent are frustrated and no way to go but hope to this the best placement for the child. This is the site for parents or other people who interest in autistic child with hearing impair.
Our son was born in 2000 with premature so that causing less weight and white blood count. He was diagnosed with Periventricular Leukomalacia(PVL) at 9 months of age. He then diagnosed profound and server hearing lost, my wife and I was very depressed and hopeless for a while. He had hypotonia and overall delay. One therapy told as he might have autistic behavior. I was denied the statement that she made in the beginning until I read more about autism information. I then do research about Autism that I pretty sure my son had autistic behaviors such as head rocking with arching his back, flip hand, avoid eye contacts most of time, and grinding teeth, liking deep pressures. I hope this group can offer us a place exchange information and help our children to grow.
