Hi hdsieg! I did some research for you on Rimadyl
for dogs. I asked people from a dog enthusiast
message board and got some interesting
comments.

-Hello Brian,
Have them read this article from The
Wall Street Journal:

http://www.doglogic.com/rimadylwallst.htm

I would never,
no matter what, give any
of my dogs Rimadyl!!!!

-I know some people
think Rimadyl is dangerous or have had cases of liver
problems and even death associated with the drug. We had
an old crippled up Lab that we started on Rimadyl
when she was around 11 years old. Thanks to the drug
we enjoyed 3 more wonderful years with her, that we
probably wouldn't have gotten any other way. Finally, at
14 even Rimadyl couldn't help and we had to PTS our
best friend. I am thankful for the extra years.
I
guess you take chances whenever you take or administer
a drug, even to a pet. Lucky for us it was worth
the chance.

Hope this helps. The article that
is mentioned is scary. I can tell you that I have
heard amazing stories about ArthryDex in regards to old
dogs acting young again! Let us know how things go for
you!
