interested in finding out about any problems psychiatric patients are
having accessing their medications under the Medicare prescription drug
plan, Medicare Part D. OHSF staff has regular meetings with high level
Part D administrators, and has had success in getting problems solved if
they are made aware of them. As you may know, antipsychotics, antidepressants,
and anticonvulsants have special protections under Part D, and patients who
are stabilized on drugs in these classes are supposed to be able to
continue on those drugs no matter which Part D drug plan they are enrolled in.
Here is the specific information OHSF needs:
* the name of the patient's Part D plan
* the name of the drug the patient is being denied access to
* the reason that has been given for the denial of access
* your contact information
Please send your information to PartD@..., and a member of OHSF
staff will get in touch with you if necessary.
