Request for Nominations - Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators May 4, 2008, Washington, DC
The APA Committee on Research Training
is requesting nominations to the Research Colloquium for Junior Investigators. The purpose of the colloquium is to provide guidance, mentorship and encouragement to young investigators in the early phases of their research training. Junior Investigators will have an opportunity to obtain feedback about their past, present, and future research interests from mentors who are tops in their field in a small group setting, as well as general information about research career development and grantsmanship. An all-day workshop for junior psychiatric investigators will focus on these three areas:
· Childhood Disorders including Autism, ADHD, Conduct, Eating, and Mood Disorders
· Genomics, Epigenetics, and Proteomics
· Treatment of Major Psychiatric Disorders: From Substance Abuse to Schizophrenia
· Genomics, Epigenetics, and Proteomics
· Treatment of Major Psychiatric Disorders: From Substance Abuse to Schizophrenia
Psychiatrists who are senior residents, fellows, or junior faculty, and who have an interest and potential in developing research careers in the areas of research listed above are encouraged to apply.
