Welcome to the DC Expectant Moms... a resource group to find what you need for your pregnancy in the DC metro area!

What this group IS:
* A place to find information about DC, Virginia or Maryland birth and baby professionals (doctors, midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, pediatricians, massage therapists, etc.)
* A place to make new friends (online and in person)
* A place to share information, sales and coupons for pregancy/baby products and services
* A place to ask questions about the pregnancy and postpartum services in the area, including hospitals and birthing centers
*A place to post events of interest to pregnant women (including classes, workshops, get-togethers, etc.)
* A place to ask pregnancy and birth questions, to your peers and to birth professionals


What this group IS NOT:

* A place for debating the merits of pregnancy and parenting choices (there are other groups for this purpose)
* A place for promoting one's personal birth ideology (just like religion and politics, these highly personal choices are best kept to one's self in polite company)
* A place for advertising businesses (you may use a signature line with your business information, but no direct ads, please)
* A place for ranting, flaming, or otherwise sharing one's unsolicited opinions (get a blog, or better yet, start your own Yahoo group)


This group is moderated by birth professionals who will make every effort to answer your questions or refer you to those who can.
