The ASPERGER ADULTS OF GREATER WASHINGTON serves local adults with Asperger's Syndrome (AS), High Functioning Autism (HFA), Nonverbal Learning Disorder (NLD/NLVD), Semantic Pragmatic Disorder (SPD), and PDD-NOS.We established our Community to provide mutual support, organize social activities, and advance Asperger policy interests.
We cooperate with parent and family support groups, treatment professionals, social services agencies, Asperger and autism listservs, and our fellow Asperger communities at home and abroad. We refer members, parents, families and others to appropriate contacts and resources.
Our meetings, listserv and Web forum are open only to adults in our region who have AS, HFA, NLD, SPD and PDD-NOS. However, new members may bring along one or two friends or family members to their first meeting.
