Re: newbie looking for info

I can't say that I know much about the symtoms at the later stage of
life. My little girl was diagnosed at 3 months old due to multiple
respitory problems. I would say that most cases of CF are diagnosed
early between the ages 0-5. However, I've heard and continue to hear
of more mild cases being diagnosed much later in life as old as 30.

CF is one of those diseases that has a wide range of symptoms.
However a couple are key. Weight Gain. I don't know any CF'er that
is not underweight. The other is the respitory problems. Get
tested, but at this age in your life. I doubt you have CF, but if
so, it may answer a lot of questions about what has been wrong.

Most doctors don't know what to look for and just treat the
symptoms... Well, that's all they can do anyway.
