I wasn't diagnosed with CF until I was 11, since there
was no family history; I was diagnosed as having
allegies, sinuitis, you name it. I continued to gain
weight and was generally healthy until I was about 10,
11, when my pediatrician suggested a sweat test.
Thankfully I hand't had any lung infection up until
that point, but I think it's probably a good idea to
know as soon as possible. You might want to wait until
she's a little bit older so that the results are more
definitive, though. Check with a pulmonologist.
Good luck and my prayers are with you!
