Hi, welcome to the group. I am mostly a lurker here since most here have
children with CVS and I am an adult (35) with CVS and my mother has it too
(worse than me).
I have figured out my triggers and haven't had an episode in a long time,
it'll be 2 years in October. My triggers are stress (anxiety and panic
attacks), fatigue, overeating, lots of fat in a meal, hormonal changes
(monthly visitor), and sometimes cold food (which is a weird one I think).
I have learned that whenever I feel that telltale pain in my back and/or
stomach. That's where the migraine presents itself on me. Mostly the
back though. I need to take an Ativan, which has two uses. It's an
anti-anxiety and an anti-nausea med. I then take a hot shower if it's
really bad. If I catch it early I just lay down in my room with the
lights off and a heating pad on my back. With this strategy I have been
extremely successful. I understand it's not that way with everyone and
what works for one might not work for another.
I have had one regular migraine in my life about a year ago and it was
horrible. Not as horrible as a stomach one, of course.
My mom hasn't had an extreme attack in awhile, though every morning she
wakes up feeling sick and needs all morning to start to feel better.
Ativan works for her, too.
Well, I hope this info helps someone. I sometimes go to bed at night
fearing I'll wake up with an attack because my back is hurting, but so far
I've been lucky since the discovery of Ativan!

ps I also own a CVS group for adults, though it is't very active :( It's
adultcvs@yahoogroups.com. I hope it's OK to mention it!
