Hi imdaprincess,
I'm not sure if you wanted me to respond to this. My
son was able to crawl. He crawled when he was 6 months
old and he did it very well. He only could use 1-2
word sentences to tell me what he wanted at age 2 and
3. With help from supports OT Occupational Therapy and
such, he is doing well with his fine motor skills.
He's not yet 6 so, right now, we do not know if he can
read. This is our next step. There are all different
kinds of programs we are working on. He starts K in
the fall.
CVS and developmental delays are separate. Yet, there
are some children with both. I happen to believe that
there are environmental factors that contribute to the
increase of developmental delays in the nation. You
simply can not have a genetic epidemic. There is also
an increase in the reported cases of CVS.
How the CVS and delays come together in my child, I do
not know. Yet I hope for a cure for both.
