We went to see a gastroenterologist at Boston Childrens Hospital. Her name is
Doctor Tully. before we were recommended to BCH we went to Maine Medical Center,
but the doctors there were of no help they kept trying to tell me that Kylie was
hypoglycemic because when she got sick her glucose level would drop severely.
The doctors at Maine Med took Kylie off of everything she had been used to
eating, fructose, sucrose, lactose and all that. She was only allowed to eat
fresh vegetables and to drink soy milk. This did not help her at all she was
sick again in no time and that is when we were referred to Boston Childrens
Hospital. Kylie has been sick off and on but I know that when she is cared for
by Dr.Tully that she is in great hands. You should talk to your sons
pediatrician aboiut seeing a gastroenterologist A.S.A.P because sometimes Cyclic
Vomiting is misdiagnosed as other things and the children suffering from CVS do
not get the care they need and so they get worse. Good Luck and
keep intouch I'd like to hear about your progress and any news on your sons
health.

I am glad to see some one else that posted on here I had posted for
the first time a couple of days ago and had not seen any one else
responed. My son is also always sick on and off. I am not a single
mother I don't know how I would do it if I was. I am not even sure
if CVS is what my son has I think so but he has also had problems
with his sodium levels once he gets dehydrated so the doctors think
it might be his sodium and have put him on restricted fluid but it
realy has not helped much. He has still been sick atleast once every
2 -3 weeks. What kind of doctor did you got ot for that diagnosis of
CVS. This low sodium thing just does not make sence because his
sodium goes down after days of vomiting not before. I would realy
like to get this figured out and atleast have a name for what is
going on.
