You didnt really describe what happens in your sons episodes , it is hard to
tell without that info and the time of them and how long in between if it is
CVS. My 6 yr old also has it every 5 weeks for 3 day intervals , vomits up to
40 or 50 times within 3 to 4 hours.
I have another question for people out there , up till now Sarah hasnt had
any problem with her throat but lately , I notice she has had an "itchy" throat
, tries to clear it a lot and sometimes makes guttural loud throat noises out of
nowhere . I suppose she could have throat damage from the vomiting , guess I
should have it checked , any one?

Hi everyone,
I am new to this group. I have an almost 5 year old son who has
been through heck and back all his life with multiple problems. The
biggest problem we haven't been able to figure totally out is his GI
problems. He underwent an endoscopy on Aug 23 to rule out
eosinophils causing his problems and to make sure his Prevacid was
prevent GERD damage. Needless to say it was totally normal. While I
am happy it was normal I was also kinda hoping to get some answers to
his problems. I asked the GI nurse what are next step was and she
told me the GI mentioned per our symptoms abdominal migraines and
prescribed Periactin. I am to call them back work or not in 2 weeks
to let them know. So I have a couple of questions.
1)Is abdominal migraines and CVS the same thing?, 2)Is he on the
right course of treatment?, and 3)Is there any actual tests that can
be done to diagnose this disease without a doubt?
Thanks in advance. I appologize now if something doesn't make
sense as I typed this once and lost my whole post so I am typing it
again. I am sure as I learn more about this disease I will have more
questions.
