Hi all my name is Smoke and i have CVS,i am a male in my late 40's
and mine started when i was 37 and for 10 yrs they couldn't find out
what was wrong with me, i'd get the heaves for 2 or 3 days then it
stop for afew days then right back to the heaves,, i'd vomit
anywhere between 2 and 30 times a day and the longest straight bout
of this lasted 57 hrs of straight out vomiting, i normally get bad
attacks 3 or 4 times a year where i;d have to go to the hosp for
IV's.
then about a month ago i was trying to find doses on fish oil and i
saw a link on cyclic vomiting syndrome and wondered what it was
cnecked it out on the CVSA web site and thought my GI doc had
written about me without tell me til i reread it again and thought
Damm its not just in my head others are doing the same thing i
am, through CVSA i was told of a CVS doc in Boston and just saw her
last monday and she said ohh yea Boy do you have CVS.
It was a God send to me having a name its not such a scary illness
now and the Doc is AWESOME she has renewed my trust in doctors again
But just wanted to say hi and thanks for letting me join
