Hi All -

New development for my son... LONG STORY very short... After years of pain and
severe migraines, NEW Neuro. sent son to the Pain Clinic at our local Children's
Hospital. They put him on Neurontin. Since being on Neurontin, son has NOT had
a CVS episode.

NEW GI - Pain Clinic wanted a second opinion on CVS with an in house GI. New
GI, Dr. Mack, actually trained with Dr. Li! I told Dr. Mack how puzzled I was
that DS has not had a CVS episode since being seen in the pain clinic. She
looked over his meds and said that does not surprise her that Neuronitin is a
maintainance medication given to patients with severe CVS. I NEVER HEARD OF
THIS!!! No one told us that. I thought I would pass the info. on in hopes that
it might help others.

Since going on Neurontin, my son does not have daily headaches! Migraines have
gone from 2-3 a week to ONE every two weeks or so AND they are manageable at
home again. YEAH!!

A friend of mine warned me that Neurontin can cause suicidal tendencies so be
very careful with the medication.

Terry

Thanks for that warning about Neurontin. That's pretty scary. My husband seems to be doing well on it so far, but he's not up to his theraputic dose yet, so...
