Hello,
I posted this message to find out if I was the only one to get pregnant and
have CVS. Two years ago I got pregnant and during my pregnancy I had an
episode. The episode was very hard to stop and control at first. I was very
sick for over a month. I losted lots of weight and was hospitalized for almost
3 months. I had a feeding tube so that my baby and I could eat. I was
transfered to another hospital and a doctor gave me thorazine to stop the
episode. It stopped the episode but had many side effects. It was a very hard
time for me. My son is 2 now and he is healthy and I thank God for that.

My daughter has asked this question to her CVS Dr and neurologist.
Both say it can be done but her present medication would have to be stopped.
Since she is soon to be married this is something she thinks of often. I
worry....

back It must be sheer torture to have to episode while your pregnant. I
would assume that it would be imperative for your CVS Doctor and your OB/GYN
work very closely together - because that could be a very volatile situation
:(
