I was so happy to have a quick reply, that I forgot to answer your questions!

No, we don't have a protocal from Dr Li - the farthest we've gottne so far is
a phone call. When we were in with the latest episode, my 18 year old started
researching & found Dr Li. We printed out his info & passed it along to Emmie's
Neuro docs at Children's Hosp. of Phila, and, to my surprise, they contacted
him! They also took his advice on the Ativan & Zofran for a rescue measure,
which worked! Before his help, this poor baby would vomit for a MINIMUM of 6
days & nights straight, every 5-15 minutes!! Praise the Lord for Dr Li!
However, the Neuro team here are not following his recommendations for
preventative measures, and Emmie's Cardiologists plan to have her back in the
hospital again very soon.
When our Pediatrician and the Neuro doc called Dr Li, they both told me that
he was a lovely man, and very caring, just willing to help! I, too, was
surprised by this - if you search Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome, this man is all over
the internet! How wonderful that he is a sweet person, too!
I've been keeping records of her vomiting cycles, times, activities when they
started, etc. Maybe it's time we go see Dr Li!
