This sounds similar to my son. He has acid reflux and CVS. My son
had an upper GI with barium swallow done and you could see the barium
going back up into his esophagus.

We are in CO and my kiddos are on Medicaid as well. They are taking
prevacid and it seems to be helping both of my children. My son
complains very little now of acid in his throat. He gets it when he
has had something to eat or drink that is very acidic (ie. pepperoni,
orange juice, etc.)
